Taurean Carter Commits to Arkansas

That’s another DL Commit

NCAA Football: Tulsa at Arkansas Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Arkansas just keeps adding to the defensive line depth in this 2018 class. The Hogs just landed Taurean Carter, a defensive lineman from Mansfield, TX to the group.

Carter is a defensive end, measuring at 6’3” and 260 lbs. 247Sports lists him as a three star recruit and has started for one of the best teams in Texas for two years now. This season he has four tackles for loss and a sack. Last season he had 16 TFL’s and eight sacks. He chose the Hogs over Wisconsin and Michigan State, but had a slew of offers from programs across the country.

If Mansfield, Texas sounds familiar, it isn’t the first recruit the Hogs will be bringing in from there this year. Enoch Jackson, his teammate on the defensive line is also committed to the Hogs. Chad Morris won’t want to stop with two, he’s looking to bring in a trio from Mansfield Legacy. Now they look to have their sights set on 4-star safety Jalen Catalon.
