With the new staff trying to build their recruiting class with little time, they have a pretty small class at the Early Signing Period. Despite that they have the best name of the recruiting class to sign in linebacker Bumper Pool. Just think of all the awful puns broadcasters will come up with when Pool makes a play in the backfield.

It’s been a long wait for Pool, who’s been committed to the Hogs since 2016. Not only is his name outstanding but he is the Hogs highest rated commit. Listed as a 4-star by major recruiting sites, his list of offers is impressive despite committing to the Hogs so early. He chose the Hogs over offers from Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Texas A&M, USC, and more.

Pool is an athletic inside linebacker, who flew all over the field and had over 300 tackles in his high school career and even got some time at quarterback in the Wildcat formation. The lack of a defensive staff currently on campus wasn’t a deterrent for Pool, who’s been a life long Razorback fan, and seemed to only have the Hogs on his mind for recruiting.
