ProHogs Update: A Quiet Weekend

There wasn’t a ton of action but one Hog made the most of his shot.

It wasn’t a huge day for Razorbacks in the NFL, several defensive players including Trey Flowers, Darius Philon, Jeremiah Ledbetter, and others played but none got more than two tackles. The best defensive performance came from Chris Smith who had a tackle for loss and a sack.

Offensively it was a quiet weekend as well. Jarius Wright’s lone catch went for a touchdown and was the most noise any former Hog made. Darren McFadden finally got some action this year. He got one carry and unfortunately went backwards. His current season stats reads 1 carry for -2 yards right now.

Here are the other Hogs in the NFL.

  • Brandon Allen - Inactive
  • Alex Collins - Bye Week
  • AJ Derby - 1 rec. 2 yards
  • Hunter Henry - 1 target
  • Ryan Mallett - Bye Week
  • Martrell Spaight - 2 tackles
  • Jeremy Sprinkle - played/no stats
  • Travis Swanson - Started at Center
  • Robert Thomas - played/no stats
  • Deatrich Wise Jr. - 1 tackle

Joe Johnson and Patrick Beverley have both been sidelined the past few games with injuries, so the lone Razorback healthy in the NBA is Bobby Portis, and since returning from suspension he is balling out. In three games so far he’s averaging over 19 points and 10 rebounds. His shooting has been tremendous as well as he’s currently shooting an even 50% from three.
