The wait is over. The Razorbacks will claim a gold medal in the Rio Olympics.
Former Hog Omar McLeod won the 110 meter hurdles for Team Jamaica, finishing in 13.05 seconds.
McLeod was a four-time NCAA Champion at Arkansas and seven-time All-American. This is the fifth gold medal in Razorback history, and McLeod joins Mike Conley (triple jump, 1992) and Veronica Campbell-Brown (200m, 2004 and 2008, and 4 x 100, 2004) as the only three Hogs to win gold.
Since leaving Fayetteville, McLeod did win the world championship this year in the 60m hurdles and finished 6th last year in the 110m event. McLeod turned pro after the 2015 season and returned to train in Fayetteville for the outdoor season this year.
