Arkansas Razorbacks Internet Chatter: NFL Draft Preview: Henry, Collins, Allen, and More

The 2016 NFL Draft could be one of the most successful in recent memory for the Hogs.

The NFL Draft is underway today, and its been a long time since there have been this many Razorbacks in the mix. Saturday Down South has a primer for what to expect from the Hogs this year. There is a chance that six Razorbacks are picked and Hunter Henry could possibly be taken in the first round. Both of these would be school firsts since the 2008 draft that featured names like Darren McFadden and Felix Jones. Six Razorbacks getting drafted would also be one short of the school record that happened in both 1951 (that had THIRTY rounds) and 1989 (which had 12 rounds).

Speaking of running backs, Alex Collins is among the more high profile Hogs expected to be drafted at some point in the next few days. He's been in training...by doing Riverdance. Check it out:

There are plenty of options for Brandon Allen to get drafted, one intriguing possibility would be the Chicago Bears. The Chicago Sun Times has a piece on the connection he has with the team. He has had a relationship with former Hog and current Bears offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains since he was a kid. Allen will most likely go in the middle rounds of the draft, and Chicago would be an interesting fit for Allen.

Because the NFL loves money, they have stretched the draft out into a three day event and the first day is exclusively for the first round. The only Razorback with a realistic shot at going that round would be Hunter Henry. Tom Murphy has a very in depth look at the tight end and his journey to the NFL. Most draft boards will have Henry as the top option and there is a pretty sizable gap between him and second. Henry could end up on any team with a need for a tight end in the next couple of days. Especially with the added importance of tight ends thanks to players like Rob Gronkowski, who Henry has had a couple comparisons with due to his size.
