Jones was committed to Chattanooga for a few months before reopening his recruitment late in the winter. He had a couple of other offers from some smaller schools. He's considered a 3-star prospect and one of the top players in Alabama.
According to UA, "as a senior at Central Park Christian in Birmingham, Alabama, Jones averaged 28 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals per game. He led his team in scoring during his final two years of high school."
This is the third guard committed to Arkansas' class along with Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon. Since Jones is 6'4" already as a senior in high school, it will be interesting to see if he might be able to grow another couple of inches and play small forward. Regardless, here's hoping he proves to be a great addition to the team.
