Arkansas Razorbacks 75, Tennessee Volunteers 65: Still Fighting

15-14, 8-8

I don't know how much more there is to say about this basketball team at this point in the year other than they clearly are still fighting, still playing hard, and still trying to put something together here at the end of the season for themselves.

Arkansas went to Knoxville and won there for just the third time ever. The Hogs led for over 35 minutes of the game and shot 59.1% in the second half to pull out a much-needed road victory, just there second win of the year away from Bud Walton Arena. The Vols held Moses Kingsley to single digits, only the second time this season he's done so, but the Razorbacks were able to overcome it.

Anthlon Bell and Dusty Hannahs combined to go 7-10 from three. Hannahs hit a couple of threes from well beyond NBA range. Anton Beard also pitched in 10 points.

Trey Thompson only scored 5 points but he continued to show a new physical powerful presence down low that scored a few points and helped him collect 7 rebounds. He's really coming along nicely.

The win pushes Arkansas to 8-8 in conference, tying for 6th place with four other teams with two games to play. The Razorbacks also guarantee themselves to not have to play the Wednesday night game at the SEC Tournament. They can still get as high as the 3-seed and as low as the 11-seed.
