Baseball America: On the bubble but hosting a regional. Arkansas was the first one out in this poll last week. Here is what they have to say about Arkansas' situation:
Arkansas is a tough case. The Hogs are climbing in the RPI, but they’re still just No. 38, and for an SEC team to host it needs to be in the 20s. But Arkansas is a strong third-place team in the SEC (15-8, two games ahead of fourth-place South Carolina), and that carries a lot of weight. We also expect the Razorbacks to finish very strong against a favorable remaining schedule (vs. Tennessee, at Auburn), and they could further boost their RPI in the SEC tournament. We expect Arkansas to win 20 or 21 SEC games in the regular season, and that’s definite hosting material.
Perfect Game USA: Arkansas hosting a regional with Miami, Kansas, and Wichita State. They had the Hogs as a #2 seed in Norman last week.
Southeastern Baseball: Razorbacks are #2 seed in the Louisville regional along with Kansas and St. Louis. Arkansas is in the same place they were last week in this poll.
Chasing Omaha: They have Arkansas as the #2 seed in the Charlottesville (UVA) regional along with Pittsburgh and Bryant.
College Baseball Daily: Hosting a regional with South Alabama, Southern Miss, and Columbia.
It seems pretty clear that Arkansas is on the bubble of hosting a regional. The Hogs can't afford to waste any games against Tennessee or Auburn like that last game against Kentucky, and a decent SEC Tournament run would be nice.
