A Passing Fancy

As the Hogs gear up to take on a team coached by a guy who's said to know a thing or two about the passing game, I figured now would be a good time to comment on an item I saw over at the always-excellent Hog Database.

The gist of it is that, with his 385 yard game against Tulsa, Mr. Casey Dick now has three of the 10 highest single game passing totals in Arkansas history. Granted, the Razorbacks have had a somewhat checkered relationship with the concept of the forward pass over the years, but that achievement still deserves a shout-out.

Here's the full top 10 (courtesy of the Hog Database):

A few thoughts:

* at this point a year or two ago, how surprised would you have been if someone from the future had shown you this list?

* Clint Stoerner has four games on the list...with three (or four...fingers crossed) left in his Razorback career, what are the odds that Casey will match or surpass him?

* what will this list look like in a few more years? Something tells me we'll be seeing the name Ryan Mallett on here more than a few times.

Incidentally, the above graphic was taken from the Hog Database's more complete list of the top 38 individual passing games in Razorback history. Some fascinating trivia there...definitely check it out.
