2022 5-Star Jordan Walsh Commits To Arkansas
The Hogs just won’t stop!
Composite 5-Star wing Jordan Walsh is calling the Hogs as he commits to play for Eric Musselman and the Razorbacks. Arkansas moves up to #2 in the 247 recruiting rankings with Walsh’s pledge.
As someone who keeps a close eye on basketball recruiting, Jordan Walsh quickly became my favorite player that Arkansas was targeting in the class of 2022. Although at the time Arkansas offered, I felt like the chances of him being a Razorback were slim. I was clearly wrong and cannot wait to see him as a Hog.
The 6-7 wing’s athleticism is one of the best in his class and will be one of the best to ever wear the Arkansas uniform in that regard.
What Arkansas fans should expect from day 1 is incredible defensive IQ and instincts. Walsh is special in this regard. I had heard reports of his great defensive ability, but then watched several of his Peach Jam games for myself. I was very impressed. Jordan is also a rebounding machine. His offensive game is still fairly raw, but his jump shot has made huge strides in recent months. At the Wooten camp just a few weeks back, Walsh displayed the best 3-point shooting that we have seen from him. He has not reached his ceiling. Arkansas is truly getting a special player.
Nick Smith committing to Arkansas had to have had a huge impact on Walsh’s decision as the two are good friends.
Walsh ultimately committed to Arkansas over Texas, but an impressive list of offers. Arizona St., Auburn, Cal, Creighton, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, LSU, Memphis, Ohio St., Oklahoma, Oregon, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC, Vanderbilt, and others.
Jordan Walsh’s recruiting rank:
247: #38
Rivals: #31
ESPN: #7
Composite: #27
The 2022 Arkansas recruiting class as it stands now:
5-Star #9 Nick Smith
5-Star #27 Jordan Walsh
4-Star #55 Derrian Ford
4-Star #90 Barry Dunning
4-Star #95 Joseph Pinion
One would think that the staff is done for 2022, but they are still in pursuit for the services of 5-Star guard Anthony Black. Arkansas is on the outside looking in currently, but we all know this staff doesn’t stop!
