Gamedays like this, where over half of the scheduled SEC games have been postponed/cancelled, really make you appreciate what we’ve had to this point.
It may get worse, as covid is spiking once again in the US. Will we even see college football next week?
Probably, but there’s no certainty. So let’s really sink our teeth into this Saturday.
Vanderbilt and Kentucky start us off in the morning. It’s not peak SEC, and Vandy’s last gasp probably came last week against Mississippi State. Kentucky’s playing for a coach that won’t be on the field but will be on their collective heart.
Ole Miss and South Carolina could be interesting, but both teams have had Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde games. As long as they’re both Dr. Jekyll or both Mr. Hyde on Saturday, we’ll have some fun.
By far, the most interesting game is Arkansas’s trip to Florida. Both teams are coming off impressive wins. Both exhausted some energy coming back from two scores. The Hogs are without their head coach; Florida, possibly without their star tight end, Kyle Pitts. Florida is a big favorite, but do you really see the Hogs laying down? They haven’t done that once this year.
How do you see it going this week? Let us know in the comments!
SEC Schedule Week 8:

Arkansas at Florida, 6:00 pm, ESPN
