Arkansas Recruiting News: Desi Sills Commits To Razorback Basketball

Combo Guard 6’1” 170 lbs. Jonesboro, Arkansas (Class of 2018)

Everything is coming together for Mike Anderson.

Razorback basketball just picked up their second commitment this week (and fourth overall) from the Arkansas Hawks’ 16U starting lineup with the commitment of combo guard Desi Sills.

Sills is a 3-star prospect who chose the Hogs over offers from SMU, Missouri, Little Rock and UAB. Sills didn’t have any offers until he started to blow up in summer games, and much like his teammate Isaiah Joe, committed to the Hogs very shortly after being offered.

Listed as both a point guard and shooting guard on recruiting sites, Sills will fill a backcourt spot for the Hogs. One would thing if he stops growing at 6’1", point guard is more likely, but since he’s going into his junior year of high school, it’s entirely possible he could grow taller by the time he gets to Fayetteville.

This leaves 4-star forward Ethan Henderson as the lone remaining member of the Hawks as yet uncommitted. We’ll see if Mike Anderson’s staff can reel him in to complete the group. If you count Reggie Perry, who was born in Little Rock and raised there until a few years ago, the Hogs now have 8 current in-state prospects committed over the 2017, ‘18, and ‘19 recruiting classes. That’s pretty astonishing. Henderson would make nine.

This is Arkansas’ third commitment in the 2018 class. As things stand now, there are three more spots available.
