We’ve mentioned before that Mike Anderson might be going after the entire Arkansas Hawks’ starting five, and on Wednesday landed one of the team’s top players and only player residing out of state in small forward Reggie Perry.

Perry is a composite 4-star top 100 player who very well could end up a top 50 player in the next rankings update. He’s chosen Arkansas over offers from Florida State, Iowa State, Miami, Kansas State, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and more.
This is one of the better Twitter note commitments I’ve ever seen. You have to love the line "Some will ask, ‘Don’t you want to wait for a Kentucky or a Kansas or a Duke to call you?’ I say the University of Arkansas is MY Kentucky, Kansas, or Duke." That will make Perry some fans in the Natural State pretty quickly.
Perry is the third starter from the Hawks’ 16U team to commit to the Razorbacks. 4-star forward Ethan Henderson and Desi Sills are the remaining two. Point guard Justice Hill and shooting guard Isaiah Joe are already committed.
It should be noted that while Perry does currently go to high school in Georgia, he is a Little Rock native and lived in Arkansas until a few years ago. That’s why he plays with the Hawks’ AAU team.
This is the second commitment in Arkansas’ 2018 class. As things stand now, the Hogs now have four scholarships available in the class.
