Jon Rothstein is back at it again today, reporting the Razorbacks and Houston will begin a home-and-home basketball series this fall.
Sources told Rothstein the first game of the set will take place in Bud Walton Arena on December 6 with the return game in Houston still to be determined.
Arkansas owns a 21-17 all-time edge over the Cougars. The programs last met in 2011 when Alandise Harris, who later transferred to Arkansas, played for Houston. He scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds in a 87-78 Razorbacks loss in Little Rock.
But before that night, Arkansas had won seven in a row and eight of the previous nine matchups. With this home-and-home, the nonconference portion of Arkansas’ schedule is beginning to become more clear. The Razorbacks have dates with Minnesota and Texas – in Houston – lined up this season as well.
Are you a fan of this home-and-home?
