Arkansas Razorbacks Fan Choice Awards: Razorback of the Year

This student-athlete epitomizes what it means to be a Razorback, whether it is through athletic accomplishments or going beyond the call of duty to help out the program.

Alex Gosser, C, North Little Rock, Ark.

After spending the majority of the season as a redshirt, he willingly took that off with only a few games left in the season because of injuries to Jake Wise and Blake Baxendale. That selfless move helped the team finish out strong in Columbia, MO against the Tigers and in the SEC Tournament. He finished the season hitting .320, with a .452 on-base percentage, and three RBIs. Also, he helped manage the Razorback pitching staff, while having a perfect fielding percentage.

Katherine Grable, All-Around, Oshkosh, Wis.

Her accomplishments as a Razorback could take up an entire post. This season she was named SEC Gymnast of the Year and also won the National Championship in the vault and the floor competition. She was also the national runner-up in the all-around. A 7-time All-American, she is the most decorated athlete in Arkansas gymnastics history.

Alex Collins, RB, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

No one has embraced becoming a Razorback more than this kid. He was so excited when he scored his first touchdown, he did a War Memorial leap into the stands to celebrate. That is the only acceptable 15-yard penalty. His twitter feed is flooded with pictures taken with fans and notes of "you're my favorite Razorback."
