While not the most outrageous thing he has said since becoming head coach of the Razorbacks, Bret Bielema brought a little extra attention to himself this week when he said on the Bo Mattingly show:
I really thought, coming in, because of the guy that I was replacing, I thought we would have a plethora of quarterbacks, wide receivers and offensive skill and expected the defense to have certain things in place. That really wasn't the case. It's not a knock on our guys. For what we need to do offensively and defensively, there was not as much as I thought was going to be there.
Which led many Razorback fans to question Bielema's preparation for moving down to Fayetteville (he didn't watch any film on his players until the red/white game his first year), question Bielema's relationship with the players (it's kind of insulting), and to wonder about what Petrino did with his first year players and what's different with Bielema.
So let us know what you think in the poll. Did Petrino really fall off on the recruiting, or were the guys here just not fitting into Bielema's system?
