Razorback Uniform Talk: Is This The New Arkansas Football Helmet?

Or, at least, an alternate road helmet?

Discussing possible new uniforms is an off-season tradition for Razorback fans, and with a new coach coming into town, this summer is no different.

Bielema has referenced an all-red Hog on a white helmet in interviews over the past months, but it appears current Razorback commitment Rafe Peavey, who visited campus recently, may be giving fans the first actual look at the helmet in this tweet:

I can see that helmet with an all-white look in road games. It will definitely be better than the red-outlined Razorback that made an appearance on white helmets last season. This Hog will at least be visible on TV and at the stadium beyond the first couple of rows.

But one thing from that picture that we do expect to change is the gradient number that fades as it goes down. The NCAA disallowed them after last season on account of they were hard to read. Good riddance, I say.

I'm also hopeful the white helmet won't make an appearance with the red jerseys. The all-white look is cool, but mixing them? I never cared for that during the Rutgers game last year. Of course, the actual game may have had something to do with that.

What do you think?
