This wasn't exactly the most dramatic of baseball weekends. All three games were blowouts. As we wrote last week, Arkansas is firmly on the bubble as far as hosting a regional, so Friday's 8-3 loss was pretty disappointing.

However, the bats came alive Saturday and Sunday, and the Razorbacks are really hard to beat when they're hitting. They won on Saturday 11-1 and on Sunday 10-2.

Here's the recap from UA:

The 14th-ranked Arkansas baseball team took two of three games from Tennessee over the weekend. The Razorbacks are now 34-17 on the season and 17-9 in Southeastern Conference play. Arkansas has won seven of its first nine SEC series for the first time since the 1999 season. With the results over the weekend, Arkansas has clinched a top four seed and a first round bye in the 2013 SEC Tournament.

The Razorbacks hit .300 as a team against the Volunteers. Brian Anderson had a strong weekend at the plate, going 7-for-13 at the plate with a homer, five RBI and five runs scored. Four of Anderson’s seven hits were extra-base hits as he recorded a double, two triples and a homer. Dominic Ficociello hit .364 (4-for-11) in the series with a homer and four RBI. Matt Vinson went 4-for-12 on the weekend with a home run, two RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base. Jordan Farris drove in a team-leading six runs in the series and went 3-for-11 in the series.Jacob Mahan also went 3-for-11 against Tennessee with a RBI and a run scored.

The Arkansas pitching staff compiled a 3.33 team ERA in the series. Ryne Stanek and Randall Fant each earned a win in the weekend series. Stanek worked seven shutout innings in the second game of the series vs. Tennessee, striking out nine and allowing just five hits. Fant picked up the victory in the series finale on Sunday after working 6.1 shutout innings with only two hits allowed and five strikeouts. Five Razorback relievers turned in one scoreless outing in relief. Colin Poché struck out three and gave up a hit in 1.1 scoreless. Jalen Beeksretired all three batters he faced in the series finale. Michael Gunn, Trey Killian and Tyler Wright also made an appearance out of the bullpen without allowing a run.

The Razorbacks were nearly flawless defensively in the Tennessee series, committing just one error for a .991 fielding percentage. Since the series finale vs. LSU, Arkansas is fielding at a .979 clip.

Arkansas finishes the regular season next weekend with a three-game series at Auburn. Game times for the weekend series are scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday. The series finale will be televised on CST.
