Checking in on the Wide Receivers

As you may have heard, the Razorbacks are stocked ridiculously loaded at the WR position. Here's a quick look at what's been happening with Childs, Adams, Wright, Hamilton and company:

* ESPN's Chris Low isn't shy about calling out his admiration for the Hogs' receiving corps, noting that four of the top 10 pass-catchers in the SEC suit up for Arkansas. In this post he gives a breakdown of who's who and calls out Javontee Herndon and Marquel Wade as rising stars to watch.

* One more good one from Low: Hogs' receivers want rings, not recognition

* Joe Adams was in the zone during last Saturday's scrimmage, even starting at breakfast.

* On a more down note, highly-touted WR recruit Quinta Funderburk seems to be going through some tough times. After enrolling early to get a jump on his Razorback career, he's missed a string of practices and there are conflicting reports as to whether he's even on the team anymore. At the very least, this look at some of his recent tweets shows that he's a young man with a lot weighing on his mind. Here's hoping he's able to figure out the right path, whatever it may be. Update: Matt Jones says Funderburk is back.
