I just got to revisit each of my nearly 39 years on this planet, as my life flashed before my eyes when Ole Miss recovered that onside kick. (Man, I looked cool in that Panama Jack shirt.)
I've seen too much Razorback sports over the years: I just knew we were toast. But then Eric Bennett won a special place in all of our hearts by making an oh-so-timely interception, and the Hogs were assured of avoiding what would have been perhaps their worst loss since the 1992 season opener against The Citadel.
These Hogs seem to be making a habit of digging themselves deep holes by halftime. Rousing comebacks are always fun, but imitating zombies in the first 30 minutes of a game is not the way to win many SEC contests. Here's hoping the Razorbacks soon change their first-half ways.
On a closing note, I'm betting that this was the last time the Hogs will square off against Houston Dale, at least in his Ole Miss incarnation (perhaps we'll see him again when he's coaching the Memphis Tigers or Coastal Carolina). Today's second half was certainly fun but to my mind, the Razorbacks never pulled together a hugely satisfying win over the Nutt-era Rebels. It didn't matter if he was coaching the Hogs or Ole Miss: Houston Nutt's teams always had a way of driving Razorback fans crazy.
Enough from me. What are your thoughts?
