It Was 19 Years Ago Today …

that the Hogs went to Rupp and showed the Wildcats how to play.

One of my favorite Razorbacks memories, a great moment in a pretty disappointing year. Given the current state of the program, it's hard to believe that a 26-8 record and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament were considered disappointments, but the excitement and expectations surrounding Nolan Richardson's Hogs were pretty insane in the early 90s.

The box score from this game is pretty eye-popping:

• Six Razorbacks were in double figures.

• The Hogs attempted 49 free throws - and made 41.

• Kentucky attempted 73 shots from the field.

• Some guy named Pelphrey had a pretty good game for the Wildcats: 22 points, 5 of 6 from three-point range.

Good times - I never thought I'd miss Roosevelt Wallace as much as I do today.
