Four-star recruit Tevin Mitchel of Mansfield, Texas, rated the No. 6 cornerback in the high school class of 2011 by Rivals.com, has decommitted from Nebraska and committed to Arkansas.
His father Eric was a highly recruited quarterback out of Pine Bluff who chose Oklahoma over the Hogs. In this article, poor Eric is described as arriving in Norman as a "scintillating quarterback" and departing four years later as "one of the most gifted underachievers ever to attend OU." Ouch.
But enough about the old man: Tevin's commitment to Petrino and the Hogs has Razorback fans excited. Jim Harris of AS360, a man who carefully doles out his exclamation points even in the overly caffeinated world of Twitter, tweeted this just minutes ago:
this is a huge pickup for BP!
High praise indeed. Woo Pig Sooie!
