Texas wins 96-85, but the game was closer than that. Fortson's impact was impressive, as the Hogs looked like a significantly better team than the one we saw during the first 14 games.
Now, are they good enough to do anything in a not-so-great SEC? I think so, but depth will be an issue. Plus, you never know when Washington's back is going to go, or if Fortson has his act together enough to hang around for the rest of the year.
Still, a core of Fortson, Clarke, Washington and Powell ain't half bad. They may surprise us yet.
