Someone to Root for Come March Madness?

We hate to break this to you, but it looks like the Hogs aren't going to make the NCAA Tournament this year. (We'll pause to give you a few moments to collect yourself after receiving this shocking news ... Feeling better? OK, then. Let's move on.)

But there may be one team from Arkansas with a halfway decent chance of getting in. According to Joe Lunardi's most recent Bracketology projection, the Arkansas State Red Wolves would make the tournament as a No. 15 seed in the West Region. Specifically, they would take on No. 2 seed Michigan State in Milwaukee.

Obviously, such forecasts are kind of silly at this point, particularly for a mid-major like Arkansas State, which could have a fantastic regular season, have an off night in the conference tournament and lose, and find itself begging for an NIT bid come Selection Sunday. But here's hoping the Red Wolves do make it. It would be nice to have someone to root for after the ides of March.
