It's a 6:00pm CST kickoff in Tuscaloosa. This will be four night games in a row for the Razorbacks. Unusual. Hopefully the Hogs can take advantage of one of these opportunities.
Really big, apparently. And they are apparently getting rid of the circular scoreboard tthey've had and are going the the 4 big HD screens shaped somewhat similarly as a smaller version of the famous scoreboard at Jerryworld. There are some NBA arenas who have this style of board as well.
The Jaylen Barford commitment was huge for the Hogs because otherwise this would be a pretty disastrous week for Mike Anderson. Curry is a 4* power forward from Little Rock (by way of Memphis) the Razorbacks were certainly hoping to land. Missing on both Curry and Cam McGriff this week is a shot to the frontcourt players Arkansas was hoping to sign.
Moving on. This is one most seemed pretty confident Arkansas would get. He took an official visit to Arkansas the weekend of the UTEP game.
This is pretty surprising. Cook had offers from Arkansas, Missouri, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Iowa State, and many others, but he's choosing to go to Nevada. He announced his top 5 just yesterday but decided to commit today.
This is a miss for the Razorbacks in their efforts to boost their frontcourt in the 2016 class as many of the top players they're after seem to be guards, but there are still some others on the table.
The Hogs and Vols will kickoff at night in Knoxville in a couple of weeks. It will be either 6:00 or 6:30. The times shown in the tweet are all Eastern times.
This isn't a big surprise, but it's starting to become clear that very few major conference games will ever get the morning kickoff slot anymore, which I think we can all agree is a good thing.
Unfortunately, they don't have both coaches in the same press conference room after the games here. But it's pretty clear Kingsbury really can't stand Bielema and it's not just because of what happened last year. Apparently, Bielema has also been saying things on the recruiting trail that have caused some raw feelings.
Bielema's taken plenty of heat for the last few days regarding those comments about Ohio State's schedule and promptly losing to Toledo, but we're posting this because it's coming from a high-profile NFL coach, which means A) WE'VE GONE MAINSTREAM! and B) I'd think we probably don't want NFL coaches making fun of our coach. Probably not the best recruiting tool. Oh well. Maybe we can get Chris Gragg to say something to him.
The Hogs and Aggies will kick off at either 6:00 or 6:30 Central on either ESPN, ESPN2, or the SEC Network. All the times in the link are Eastern times.
What do you think about this? Are they playing Arkansas fans for suckers after yesterday? Or was that a fluke and the Hogs regain form and take care of business this weekend in Fayetteville?
