SB Nation Texas A&M Preview

+

Bill Connelly's team-by-team preview series has reached the SEC, and Texas A&M is the first league opponent for Arkansas to get this treatment. It provides a good roster breakdown of the Aggies and paints something of a picture for what Arkansas will get to see when the two schools meet up in Week 4.

Arkansas Offers SG/SF Josh Parrish

+

Parrish is a 6'5" player from the Dallas area. He can play the 2 or the 3. He's rated a 3* on Rivals but doesn't seem to be rated yet elsewhere. He's also been offered by SMU, TCU, VCU, and Fresno.

Doc Harper Talks Hog Basketball and Football on Goin' Ham Podcast

+

I spent a little time talking all things Razorbacks with Cory Thone and @House_Razor on the Goin' Ham podcast earlier this week. Check it out. It was recorded before the Jacorey Williams assault stuff came out.

De'Ron Davis Does Not Include Arkansas Among His Top 3

The 4* power forward had been mentioned as a possibility for Arkansas recently, but apparently has cut the Hogs from contention.

Every now and then we get these offseason pics from football players showcasing how they've transformed in the conditioning program, but this one from OL Frank Ragnow is pretty dramatic. #BodyByHerb

4* OL Garrett Bolles Has Arkansas In His Top 7

3

Bolles is a 6'6" 305-lb offensive tackle from Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. In addition to these final 7 schools, he holds offers from Alabama, Florida State, Nebraska, South Carolina, Missouri, Kansas State, and others. He originally committed to BYU last fall but decommitted in May, which is probably an honor code violation in and of itself. He's actually 23 years old but is still in school because he served an LDS mission out of high school.

Arkansas Coaches Go Recruiting In Las Vegas

+

Mike Anderson and his staff were in Las Vegas last week watching several prospects. The Arkansas Wings won the tournament and Malik Monk was the MVP, but the Hog coaches were watching several prospects in addition to Monk such as Josh Parrish and Cameron McGriff as well as all of the in-state players.

CBS Sports Profile of Bret Bielema and His Moneyball

2

This is a really good profile of Bielema. It really goes into how he uses analytics and also provides some nice anecdotes, like how recruiting coordinator E.K. Franks started out as "Towel Guy".

Ted Kapita Update: Still A Chance For Arkansas?

3

According to Davenport, Kapita's high school coach said it's possible Kapita could be able to transfer to Arkansas at midterm. Another source told Davenport (likely from UA) that the NCAA hasn't yet made a final decision and apparently there's still a chance (no report on how much or little) he could still be admitted for this fall. We'll see.

Arkansas' Offensive Linemen Have Their Own Pool Party

2

Arkansas OL Coach shared this little gem with the world. Just another way to show the Razorbacks mean it when they say they treat linemen like kings around here.
