The second player from Mansfield Legacy in Texas has signed, and is hoping to bring in a third. One of those definitely coming in is defensive tackle Enoch Jackson.

Arkansas was his choice while also considering Oklahoma State, Georgia, Texas Tech, Iowa and Ole Miss. Arkansas also had to fend off a late offer from Clemson, who has been dominant in recruiting defensive linemen in the past few years.

Jackson is a consensus three-star at 6’0” and 290 lbs. The defensive tackle is one of several commits from the Lone Star State expected to sign today. Arkansas has made a much bigger emphasis on signing players from Texas in this recruiting class.

He and his teammate Taurean Carter are both signing today, and the Hogs are still in a battle with Texas for Jalen Catalon, who is a four-star safety from Mansfield Legacy. So far Chad Morris and staff have had a strategy to get sets of teammates from high school together in this class and it’s paid off pretty well. Jackson and Carter are one of as many of four sets of teammates that could come to the Hill.
