With the 2022 Recruiting Class starting to fill out as the Arkansas football team has gained more good news, this time with the first commitment of the 2023 recruiting class.
4-Star tight end Shamar Easter has committed to Arkansas. The Ashdown, Arkansas product chose the Hogs over the likes of Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and others.
According to 247Sports, Easter is the top-ranked player in Arkansas for the 2023 class, the No. 12 tight end in the country, and the No. 201 player nationally.
At 6’5”, 225lbs, Easter has the size to be a lethal threat on the field. He also possesses great pass-catching ability, making difficult catches look easy. He should fill out in his final two years in high school before arriving at Arkansas, and with the added size and speed, Easter will become a threat from anywhere on the field.
Easter is the first commitment in the 2023 cycle, and is going into his junior season with the Ashdown Panthers.
