The Razorbacks will take the field on Saturday for the annual red-white spring scrimmage to conclude Sam Pittman’s first entire spring season as head coach. We will not see the Hogs again until September 4, when Arkansas takes on Rice inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Next week will officially mark the beginning of the talking season as we anxiously await the start of a new season. On Tuesday, ESPN released their preseason FPI power index for the 2021 season. Sam Pittman’s squad comes in at No. 29 out of 130 teams. While this is the lowest ranking among SEC West teams, it is a vast improvement for a program that seemed lost just a short time ago. Additionally, the FPI predicts the Razorbacks to finish the season with a 6-6 record and a bowl berth.

A strong showing in conference play and a bowl appearance will surely provide a positive conclusion to an already exciting year for Razorback fans.

FPI Rankings for 2021 Opponents (Outside of SEC West):

Georgia Bulldogs – 7th

Texas Longhorns – 12th

Missouri Tigers – 34th

Georgia Southern Eagles – 88th

Rice Owls – 116th
