Au’Diese Toney Commits To Arkansas

Pittsburgh transfer Au’Diese Toney has committed to Arkansas!

The 6-6, 210 small forward was a 3 year starter at Pittsburgh before entering the transfer portal.

Toney averaged 14.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals at Pitt this season. He shot 46.4% from the field with 34.0% from 3.

All signs point to Moses Moody heading to the NBA and Toney is the perfect guy to replace him.

Toney is a slightly worse shooter than Moody, but can create better off the dribble. He’s a great defender and will be a day 1 starter for next year’s Arkansas team.

Toney has career highs of:

Points: 27
Rebounds: 14
Assists: 6
Steals: 4

Seeing these career highs proves that he is a versatile player!

Where Toney could improve this offseason is becoming a better 3 point shooter. 34% is not bad at all, but if he could shoot around the same clip as Moses Moody then he would be a huge piece to making Arkansas a powerhouse again next season.

I also want to see Toney shoot better from the Free Throw Line. In his career, he has shot 66.2%.

This is just the beginning of portal activity for Arkansas though. I expect Arkansas to take at least 2 more players in the portal this offseason.
