The oh so popular rivalry to close the season for the Razorbacks returns to Black Friday. Most of Arkansas’ regular season finale’s were played on Friday’s against LSU until 2012.
It was always normal to make a Mayo and turkey sandwich with an iced Dr. Pepper and sit in front of the TV, turn on CBS at 2:30 PM central and watch the Hogs face off with the Tigers. Well, these days it’s against a different Tiger. The Missouri Tiger. The forced rivalry that neither side cares about. The rivalry that Arkansas has lost six of the seven times it has been played.
JUST GO BEAT THEM ALREADY!
Here is the official statement from the University of Arkansas:
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas’ 2021 season finale is moving back to a familiar date on the calendar with the Razorbacks’ game against Missouri moving to Friday, Nov. 26. The game is set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. on CBS.
The Razorbacks and Tigers have ended each of the last seven seasons on the final weekend of the regular season with all but last season’s meeting coming on the Friday after Thanksgiving. This season the Battle Line Rivalry shifts back to Fayetteville for the first time since 2017.
