In the midst of a seven straight SEC game winning streak, the Arkansas Razorbacks have improved to 17-5 (9-4 SEC). According to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and his Bracketology, the 20th ranked Razorbacks are a projected six seed for the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

Lunardi has the Hogs dancing in March for the first time since the 2018-2019 season. He also has five more SEC teams projected to make the field of 68. That would include SEC Alabama (two-seed), Tennessee (six-seed), Missouri (six-seed), LSU (seven-seed) and Florida (eight-seed).
If the season ended today and the Selection Committee seeded the tournament how Lunardi has the Razorbacks would play Belmont in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins currently sit at 24-1 (18-0 OVC) on the season. They score 82.8 points per game which is good for ninth best in the country.
If Arkansas wants to improve their seating victories this week over quadrant one opponents will be key. Alabama (Wednesday) and LSU (Saturday) both at home would improve their seeding before closing out the regular season with South Carolina on the road.
Arkansas’ game with Alabama on Wednesday night will be the first top 20 matchup inside Bud Walton Arena since 1998. The Razorbacks lost to the Crimson Tide by 30 last month. The Tide have been red hot offensively as of late but the Hogs defense has shown up since then and found a way to win each time they touch the floor.
