Bolden Receives SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week Honor

Caleb Bolden’s exceptional performance at the State Farm College Baseball Showdown has earned him the conference’s top weekly honor.

The right-hander was named the SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, putting an exclamation point on his impressive performance in Sunday’s 4-0 shutout win against No. 9 Texas. His effort out of the bullpen guided the Razorbacks to their second victory of the season. He was also instrumental in the 3-0 start for the 2021 Hogs.

Bolden struck out seven batters in his four no-hit innings. Which would keep the eighth ranked Longhorns bats quiet and ensure Arkansas’ shutout win. Bolden of Texarkana, Texas, took the mound during the fifth inning and never looked back. That would lead him to his first save of his college baseball career.

Bolden and his Razorback teammates will return to the diamond on Thursday when they host Southeast Missouri State. That game will be the home opener for the Razorbacks inside Baum-Walker Stadium. The first pitch is set for 3 p.m.
