In-State Defensive End Commits To Arkansas

NCAA Basketball: Kentucky at Arkansas Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

J.J. Hollingsworth of Greenland, AR committed to Arkansas on Friday afternoon. He is the first commitment of the 2022 class for Head Coach Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks.

He received an Arkansas offer earlier this month and decided there was nothing like being a Razorback to an Arkansas kid. He is listed at 6-4 240 and had received offers from Kansas and Akron.

Early in Sam Pittman’s tenure, he has made it a priority to build a wall around the state by keeping in-state talent on the Hill.

Arkansas currently has the #28 ranked class for 2021 with 17 commitments and continued that momentum into the 2022 class with Hollingsworth’s pledge. In order to rebuild the Arkansas football program, Pittman must have recruiting consistency. Keeping in-state talent at home will be the first step in that process.
