The first few months of the 2021 recruiting cycle have come and some Razorback fans have voiced concern over the lack of four star prospects committing to their beloved Razorback football team. That was until today as Oklahoma 4-star running back, AJ Green, let his commitment be known to Sam Pittman’s Hogs.
Green was originally known to be favoring his instate Sooners who were pursing him as a defensive back instead of tailback. The Razorbacks have been recruiting him at the position of his preference and should be the final commitment for the running back position. Last month, Arkansas received the commitment of fellow Oklahoma native, Javion Hunt of Oklahoma City plays the same position.
A consensus top 200 player in the country, Green had scholarship offers from 14 different schools including Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State , Baylor, LSU, South Carolina and others. With his commitment, Green is the highest rated player for the 2021 Razorback class.
When it comes to speed, Arkansas has lacked some on the offensive side of the football the past few seasons. With the addition of Green, he had a reported 10.38 100 meter dash his freshman year of high school
