The busy week for transfering continues for the Razorback football program as they welcome Caratan, (6-2, 221) who is a transfer from the University of Michigan and will be a preferred walk-on for the Razorbacks in 2020. He is expected to have immediate eligibility for this season.
He joins a list of now six players to transfer to the Arkansas Football program this offseason, including former Florida Gators starting quarterback Feleipe Franks (Florida), Groza Award finalist kicker, AJ Reed, Clemson transfer Xavier Kelly, Jerry Jacobs from Arkansas State and Levi Draper from Oklahoma.

The Razorback punting position has been somewhat of a carousel over the previous seasons. There have been multiple punters receive playing time but none have been able to stick until former Vanderbilt and Colorado punter, Sam Loy transferred to the Razorbacks last summer. In 2019, Loy punted 56 times for 2210 yards (39.46 average) . The depth chart has redshirt sophomores Reid Bauer and Matthew Phillips, and redshirt-junior Sam Loy. Last year, Loy punted 56 times for 2,210 yards (39.46 average).
Yesterday, former Razorback wide receiver, Jordan Jones, announced he would be transferring to Cincinnati. Former Arkansas offensive coordinator, Dan Enos, is the running backs coach for the Bearcats.
The Razorbacks head coach previously stated he hopes to have his athletes on campus on July 1st to begin preparations for the 2020 season. Arkansas begins play on September 5th versus Nevada at home.
