The Hogs and Tide are kicking off today at 11:00 am on ESPN. Here’s how the game’s going to go.
ADAM: Alabama’s offense is performing at a historic pace, but their defense is really good too. I expect the Hogs to not get embarrassed, but I also don’t expect this game to be close. I think the Hogs will move the ball all game, but a touchdown in junk time will make it look like it was a shootout. Alabama 52, Arkansas 24
JACOB: I’ve seen a lot of what Alabama has been able to do on offense, and they can definitely name their score and roll to win against Arkansas. The Razorbacks could keep it close through the first half because of their newfound explosive offense over the last quarter of the season. If Feleipe Franks plays, Arkansas could have a stronger chance to play a close game. If KJ Jefferson starts, it could be a long one due to freshman quarterbacks struggling against any Crimson Tide team. I choose Alabama this week. Bama 51-Arkansas 30
LUKE: I predict it won’t be very enjoyable and that Alabama will beat Arkansas, 56-28 (Hogs cover, though!). But I also predict I’m not gonna get down about the outcome, because I also predict things are gonna get better quickly for the Hogs, starting with a fun bowl game against a similarly-talented opponent, one who’ll be beatable. Unlike the Tide.
BEN: Moral victories are the worst, but today is a moral victory kind of day. This may be the best offense Nick Saban has had while at Alabama. The wide receiver options will light up the thin Arkansas secondary today. But where do you find those moral victories? First, Arkansas needs to cover. Second, I want to see the Hogs move the ball. Third, I want KJ Jefferson to get more time at QB and be successful. It may not be a fun day, but at least Chad Morris isn’t our coach. Alabama 59, Arkansas 20
