Arkansas is in the middle of a huge recruiting weekend and they just got their first in-State commit of the 2020 class. Jonesboro defensive end Jashaud Stewart is calling the Hogs.
Blessed to say that I will be verbally committing to the University of Arkansas. I will like to thank everybody who help me get to this point especially my hard working parents #WPS pic.twitter.com/Qh1122Qsjk

As part of the prospect day currently underway, Stewart became the third commit of the 2020 class. He joins wide receiver Ze’Vian Capers and cornerback Jamie Vance. Arkansas was the first to offer him in November and he picked the Hogs over schools like Arkansas State and Memphis.
With such a huge group of defensive ends in the 2019 class, this upcoming group won’t be as big, but Stewart is a key part of the in-State class. 247Sports ranks him as the third best prospect in the state and he is in the top-500 nationally. As a junior he put up big numbers with Jonesboro, getting 89 tackles and 24 TFLs. He also racked up six sacks last season.
