It’s the regular season finale, and quite possibly Daniel Gafford’s last game in Bud Walton Arena. No seniors to honor, so that’s as close as it gets. The Hogs are taking on an Alabama team who looked to be in good shape for the NCAA Tournament at 15-8, but have since gone 2-5 and that is now in jeopardy.

The most important thing this game means for Arkansas is seeding for the SEC Tournament. With the Hogs one game behind Bama, a win gives them the tiebreaker and the 9th seed next week. A loss puts them in 10th place, and since they have the tiebreaker over Texas A&M that’s as low as they can go. Who Arkansas plays is anyone’s guess as there are five potential teams within a game of each other in the SEC standings.

The Tide are struggling at this point. In their last game they had a 13 point second half lead at home to Auburn and let it slip away. John Petty and Dazon Ingram will be familiar names from past matchups, but freshman Kira Lewis has packed a huge scoring punch for them this season.
