It isn’t official yet, but the University just announced a major step to putting Nolan Richardson’s name on the court at Bud Walton Arena. The resolution has been officially submitted and will be discussed at the Board of Trustee’s meeting scheduled for March 27-28.
He built his legacy at Arkansas and now it's time to add his mark to the floor he called home.

There still needs to be official approval for this to take place, but c’mon. This should be one of the bigger no brainers that the board will deal with. Nolan was added to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014, and has a banner hanging in Bud Walton Arena alongside the National Championship banner he helped put up.
This is something that fans, and his former players, have been wanting for quite some time now and is one of the few things the vast majority of Arkansas fans will agree on. It’s long past time to have Nolan Richardson court, now we’re one giant step closer to having that.
