Weather made for an unusual weekend but Arkansas got a sweep over Stony Brook to move to 8-1 overall. After a couple of close games, the Hogs broke things open in the finale to breakout the brooms.
Hitter of the Week - Jack Kenley
It’s hard to top a 2 home run, 5 RBI day like Kenley had in the third game of the series. He went 3/9 on the weekend, but he also drew three walks and stole three bases as well throughout the series. He was having a decent weekend until he had back to back 2-run home runs in the 5th and 6th innings of the series finale.
Let's roll that beautiful HR footage courtesy of Jack Kenley.

Pitcher of the Week - Isaiah Campbell
Campbell had his most dominant outing on the mound this season. His line of 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 13 K is as good as it gets. He spread out those three hits and only one runner reached second base against him. He also did it in an economical 99 pitches. If Campbell can go 6-7 innings deep while throwing less than 100 pitches in SEC games, that’s going to set up the bullpen well for the rest of the series, and that’s going to be a big need against some of the top teams in the conference.
Most Important Stat
The Hogs didn’t need to steal many bases last season since any base was scoring position with how many home runs they hit. This year they’ve been much more active on the base paths, and it showed this weekend, stealing six in seven attempts. Four different Hogs got a stolen base this weekend, led by Kenley’s previously mentioned three. If they continue to do that at a solid rate, it’s another dimension added to the offense opposing pitchers will need to think about.
