Oh how things are so different from Arkansas’ 73-72 win over the Hoosiers in November. For starters the location is different, and one of, if not both the biggest stars this match up had will not be playing. We know Daniel Gafford won’t play, and Romeo Langford’s status is still up in the air.
Another difference will be the inclusion of Indiana Guard Devonte Green. He missed the first matchup due to injury but can get hot from three in a hurry. In their Big Ten Tournament loss to Ohio State he put up 26 points off the bench, hitting eight shots from deep.
The Hoosiers have the homecourt and the top end talent in this matchup, but so did Providence in the first round. Arkansas’ energy and hot shooting gave them the chance to get a road win and they took full advantage. Now they will need to do so against a more talented group. One that almost certainly won’t be south of 20% from three point range like the Friars were.
