Arkansas had to fight up until signing day to get A’Montae Spivey, but the running back from Phenix City, Alabama has stayed with his commitment to the Hogs.

At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, he ran for 944 yards and 14 touchdowns for an 11-1 program. The 3-star has been committed to the Hogs for a long time but Ole Miss has recently made a significant push to get him after other recruits moved around. The Rebels had the most recent official visit with him but relationships with Arkansas’ current staff went a long way.
Spivey is an important get for the Hogs as the only running back in the class. Arkansas right now has some talent at the position with T.J. Hammonds, Devwah Whaley, Rakeem Boyd, and Chase Hayden already there, but all have dealt with injuries in the past. Spivey can also develop and add some size to his frame while those other backs are still in Fayetteville as well.
