SEC Weekend Preview: The Good Games Are Early

Your first two are your best two games this weekend.

NCAA Basketball: Louisiana State at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

#5 Tennessee at #13 LSU

11 a.m. CT | ESPN

For the second weekend in a row, the Vols have a very tough game against a team who really doesn’t want to lose a second straight at home. LSU has a very good chance to all but wrap up a top-4 seed in the Tournament.

Auburn at #4 Kentucky

12:30 p.m. CT | CBS

Auburn has looked much better in their past few games, but now has to try and top Kentucky. Also it’s a little odd the SEC has two matchups between top-5 teams in the conference and they’ll both be over before 3.

Georgia at Ole Miss

2:30 p.m. CT | SEC Network

The Rebels are in very good shape to wrap up an NCAA Tournament birth. Georgia is limping to the finish line.

Missouri at Florida

3 p.m. CT | ESPNU

Mizzou has looked better as of late, and Florida has picked up some much needed wins for their resume. They can’t afford to trip up here.

Vanderbilt at Alabama

5 p.m. CT | ESPNU

The Tide are all of a sudden on red alert after losing three straight at the worst time. If they fall to the Commodores you can kiss the Tourney goodbye.

South Carolina at Mississippi State

5 p.m. CT | SEC Network

Carolina has been a much tougher out at home than on the road. State will be favorites in a game they’ll really want for SEC Tournament seeding purposes.

Texas A&M at Arkansas

7:30 p.m. CT | SEC Network

This game is a fight to avoid Wednesday Night Sadness. Not much else to it.
