It’s not something particularly shocking, but it’s really, really funny in a cosmic way to see our confidence rise after Chad’s dismissal. After the bye week, folks seem to be in a happier place, as confidence has risen over 40%(!). You can see on the graph the slope of Chad’s demise, but Barry Lunney Jr. seems to have provided a bounce:

Despite the odds being grimmer than I’ve ever seen ahead of the LSU game, the sheer fact that Chad Morris is no longer employed by the University of Arkansas has taken care of any sadness or doubt. Speaking of LSU, they’re number one in the SB Nation FanPulse Top 25, and we’re going to get absolutely demolished, aren’t we?

I personally think Oregon should be in that 4 spot, and that Bama and Georgia being up there is laughable, but maybe the voters have SEC bias™. LSU looks like a buzz saw, but hey, we all know what happened when we last visited Death Valley when they were number 1 and we were unranked though...
In basketball news, some contrarians still aren’t confident in the basketball program, proving that some people are just destined to being unhappy. I’ve seen nothing from the team or coaching to suggest that we should have anything but confidence, and yet, confidence is only at 94%. Shame. Hopefully a good win against South Dakota will boost this back up to where it should be. To those of you voting no, why?

I’m all aboard the Muss Bus, and Isaiah Joe and company seem to be as well.
