After a 4-8 season, a coaching change, and no clear starter at quarterback, expectations are going to be low. At SEC Media Days the preseason media poll came out and, as expected, the Hogs are at the bottom of the Western Division. Even less surprising is Alabama being picked to win the conference.

Bama picked to win SEC title (media has been wrong 20 of 26 years)
There was a huge gap in voting between the top five in the division and Arkansas and Ole Miss. Points are awarded on a 7-through-1 scale (7 for 1st, 1 for 7th) and there was nearly a 500 point gap between 5th place LSU and 6th place Ole Miss. The Hogs were 166 behind the Rebels.
There was also the preseason teams, and Arkansas had three players listed. Hjalte Froholdt was named to the second team offense, while De’Jon Harris and Santos Ramirez are both third team defense. The three selections is the same amount as Ole Miss, and more than Tennessee (1) and Vanderbilt (0).
