Arkansas’ increased recruiting efforts in Texas paid dividends today, as the Hogs landed TQ Jackson as the 7th commit of the 2019 class. The wide receiver is a 3-star and top-500 guy from 247Sports.

Jackson is currently listed at 6’2” and 188 lbs. but it’s his speed that has coaches excited. He has 4.5 speed and already has prolific receiving numbers in high school. In both his sophomore and junior seasons he caught at least 40 passes and 11 touchdowns.
He had offers from some other Power 5 schools, Texas Tech, Baylor, TCU, Arizona, and Missouri were interested in him. While it came down to Arkansas and Texas Tech, he sounded very sure that Fayetteville was the place for him for a while before announcing his commitment.
This gives Arkansas seven commits for the 2019 class and is the second from the state of Texas. Morris and his staff had been interested in Jackson for a while. In 2017, while at SMU, they were the first D1 school to offer a scholarship to Jackson, and that relationship carried on to Fayetteville.
