Last Time Out

Coming off a three game losing streak, Arkansas held on for dear life to beat Mizzou and get things back on track this year. 65 points was Arkansas’ lowest total in a win this year and was the second lowest point total all season. Arkansas led by 18 at one point, trailed by six with under five minutes to go, and found a way to somehow win.

Projected Starters

Things are the same from Arkansas’ side, and there was speculation that Michael Porter Jr. could have made his return to the Mizzou lineup after only playing just two minutes in the season opener. It was announced this morning that he is targeting a return in the SEC Tournament instead. Still Arkansas will need to deal with the three point sharpshooting of Kassius Robertson and Jordan Barnett.

Stats From Last Time

Missouri made their huge run with their three point shooting. While Arkansas made most of their success in the paint, a huge barrage of three point shooting from Robertson got the Tigers back in the game. That came at a point in the season when Arkansas’ perimiter defending was at it’s worst. Since then they’ve tightened the screws some and will need to keep that up today.

For the Hogs, they’ll also need more production from Daryl Macon, who just had eight points on 2/7 shooting from the field. The Hogs also had a rough day at the free throw line, shooting 14/25 from the free throw line. Improve on those two things and you’ve got a decent shot on the road and a chance at that 4th seed.
