Arkansas had to fight off some major competition for Joseph Foucha, but they were able to hold them off and get him to Fayetteville. The 3-star safety picked the Hogs today after visiting in January.

Foucha chose the Hogs over finalists Auburn, Arizona State and Ole Miss. He visited Oxford after his trip to Fayetteville but it wasn’t enough to sway him. The safety from New Orleans is part of a late push to really emphasize the defensive end of the ball in this recruiting class. 247 Sports has Foucha as the 25th best player in the talent rich state of Louisiana.
The secondary is a position that Arkansas has recruited well in the past couple of years, getting some big name talent from both in-state and Louisiana. As we saw last season, injuries can come quickly and affect the depth at this position so for Chad Morris the more quality the better.
