Jones is Jerry’s grandson and played quarterback at Highland Park in the Dallas area. He finished off his college career with a wild comeback in the state title game that got attention from media across the country.
Even though he’s got the Texas high school fame, he’s still going to be an undersized QB. Jones is only listed at 5’10”, 185 lbs, so he’s going to be dwarfed by his teammates. Despite that, he still earned a three-star rating and had offers from Texas Tech, Kansas, and SMU.
He’s also the second quarterback signed in this class with Connor Noland, which means the QB room is getting pretty full. They’ll join Cole Kelley, Ty Storey, and Daulton Huatt as the other scholarship quarterbacks on the roster.
